Medium and major concentration of work: Painting

Anne Marie deJony profoundly renders dreams, memories and emotions on canvas. She describes her high-energy abstracts as “urban rhythms”. These spontaneous compositions express the rhythms of life and reveal the artists urban roots. Her current surroundings inspire a more tranquil interpretation of landscapes that seek to quiet the mind and nurture the soul. She invites the viewer into an array of harmonious vistas through color, form and energy.

Anne Marie deJony received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kean University in New Jersey. Her artistic journey has included successful careers as a graphic artist and art educator. Anne Marie’s design company now publishes her limited editions, small works, poetry and books. Her artwork has been exhibited in solo and group shows in the United States and abroad since 1993. In California, she has exhibited at the Irvine Fine Arts Center, Studio Gallery, Sandstone Gallery, Sonoma Museum of Visual Art, Wells Fargo Bank and the Guggenheim Gallery at Chapman University. Currently, her work can be viewed at her website, New Century Artists and Ward-Nasse Gallery in New York. She has received international recognition by invitation to the December 2011 International Biennial of Contemporary Art Exhibition in Florence, Italy.
