Pascal Vrebos was born in Brussels in 1952. His plays are translated and performed all over the world.
He also teaches semiology, stylistics and media education at ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles,)
and at Institut Cooremans (Cooremans University College). Performing both on radio and television,
first on RTBF, and currently on RTL / TVI1 and Bel RTL), he steers the television CONTROVERSE broadcast
programme on RTL / TVI, in which he addresses and questions the personalities of the world.
He is also the author of many publications, among which Gorbachev, Ultimate Conversations with Henry Miller,
A Crazy Week with Henry Miller. He obtained numerous prizes, none of the least being the Prize for the Society
of the Authors and Playwrights. In 1994 he acquired scientific and professional fame by a decree of the Belgian
government and in December 1999 he was appointed Member of the Superior Council of Justice by the Belgian Senate.
In March 2009, he held an exhibition “Déchettisme” (“Rubbishism”) at BW Art Gallery in Brussels.

"Pascal VREBOS: Writer, playwright, semiologist, teacher and journalist. He teaches at the Conservatoire of
Brussels (Brussels Academy o Music and Drama), l’Académie des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles (Brussels Academy of
Fine Arts) and Institut Cooremans. He dedicates himself to an investigative as well as satirical journalism,
among which the reports of the end of the Soviet regime, the story of the meeting with Henry Miller, which
inspired him a book published in the USA (A Crazy Week with Henry Miller). He also performed imaginary interviews
or talks in the early hours for both the RTBF and RTL / TVI , and still does so for RTL/TVI.
He is also the author of about ten plays performed in France, in Germany and in the United States, translated i
nto Dutch, German and English. He received numerous literary prizes for his books, none of the least being the
Prize of the Société des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques mentioned above. A multitalented and original man,
he conveys the anxieties inspired by the contemporary world.”
